We hold monthly themed wine, beer and whisky tasting evenings. Here are our latest events, and if you would like a ticket, pop in or give us a call to book your tickets!

This is a snap from a surprise birthday party event we organised for one of our regulars (the birthday boy is looking very coy on the left). A great evening was had by all, and they remembered everything they were taught (honestly!)

As we as our ticketed events for all of you lovely folk to come along to, we specialise in private wine tasting events for your very own party! Whether it's a work get-together, a special family occasion, a bunch of mates looking for a bit of a different night out, or even an educational group such as the WI, U3A or students on a hospitality course - we have the 'do' for you! All you need is a minimum of 10 people willing to part with a tenner each (or £15 each with buffet), and we will arrange a wine tasting event to suit you. We can hold the event at our shop (maximum 30 people), at the lovely little community centre 100 yards down the road (maximum 120), or at your own home or place of work. We are also very keen to support the local community, and we are always willing to help local charities fundraise with the help of one of our events. If you are interested in holding a wine tasting evening to raise a bit of cash for your favourite charity, call in, telephone or email to find out how! We can raise from between £300 up to £2000 in a single evening - not to be sniffed at! We are all very friendly and helpful, so just give one of the team a call for more information! |

Belgian V USA Beer Tasting Night - Thursday 9th February 2012 Already great excitement over this one - the lovely Ben from James Clay specialist beer importers will be showing a fantastic range of Belgian beers and US counterparts. Hear the stories, the history and most importantly, drink the beer!!

'Mavericks' Night - Thursday 29th March Robin Nugent from Alliance Wines steps up to the plate once more to present a bit of a jog around the world to seek out talented winemakers and all-round good eggs who make fantastic wines. A wonderful night to compare delicious wines from around the World. |

Australian Night - Thursday 19th April Alec Street from uber-importer Boutinot will be presenting an amazing array of the weird, wonderful and wacky from down under. Top wines from new, cutting edge producers such as Some Young Punks, Killibinbin and Magpie Estate. Yum yum! |

(Tickets cost £15.00 each and are non-refundable (Champagne tickets cost £27.50). Ticket price includes light buffet, and the event takes place at the shop and is seated. All events begin at 7.15pm and finish at approximately 9.30pm. There is a 10% discount on all wine purchases made on the evening.)

Chester Beer & Wine can offer you plenty to help your party or event go with a swing. We can help you choose the perfect wine or beer for your function, on a sale or return basis. Our service includes:
Providing that you purchase your wine or beer from us, your glass hire is completely free. If you just want to hire glasses and have your own tipple, the cost is £5 per dozen. We have 125ml Savoie wineglasses, 125ml flutes, pint glasses and half pint hi-balls.
Don't risk running out of wine and disappointing your guests! You can order a bit more than you think you'll need to make sure and we will take back up to 25% of the wine you buy, so you can relax and enjoy the party.
Provided you live within 10 miles of Chester, we will deliver your order, and collect your glasses and any unused wine free of charge (minimum £75 order applies)

These and many other questions we can answer with our consultation service. We can offer you anything from an informal chat to booking a tasting session to make sure you have the perfect wine for your all-important function.
